Here's the Rundown...

What is Chatham Park?

Chatham Park is a rapidly growing master-planned community in Pittsboro, designed to blend modern living with nature and sustainability. The community features walkable neighborhoods, parks and trails, schools, dining, and mixed-use spaces that create a vibrant place to live, work, and gather. With its thoughtful planning and proximity to the Research Triangle, Chatham Park is quickly becoming one of the most exciting places to live in Chatham County.

Is Chatham Park it's own town?

No, Chatham Park is situated in Pittsboro, NC, just east of the downtown area, bordered by U.S. Highway 64 to the south and surrounded by rolling countryside and preserved green spaces. It lies roughly halfway between Raleigh and Chapel Hill, making it conveniently accessible to the Research Triangle area. Pittsboro is located within boundaries of Chatham County, meaning Chatham Park is a part of Chatham County.

Is there a Disney Park coming to Chatham Park?

No, there isn’t a FULL Disney theme park (like Walt Disney World or Disneyland) planned for Chatham Park. What is coming is a large Disney‑branded residential community called Asteria, part of the Storyliving by Disney series of neighborhoods, with homes, amenities, and Disney‑style programming. Sales are expected to begin in 2027 and the project will be a housing project, rather than a theme park development like ones you would find in Florida or California.

What is MOSAIC?

MOSAIC is the central hub of Chatham Park, featuring restaurants, shops, open plazas, and event spaces. It’s designed for community gatherings, dining, and seasonal events, with pedestrian-friendly walkways and green spaces throughout, and it continues to grow as Chatham Park is built out. MOSAIC functions as a convenient and lively destination for residents and visitors alike, right near the future site of Disney's Asteria project.
